Legacy Invitational

Format: The Legacy Invitational is a rolling roleplay, single elimination tag team tournament hosted by Federation X once per year in the month of March. Each match is three days in length, with a scoring cap of two posts per day for each competitor. The tournament does not permit competitors to post off of themselves unless they have waited two hours, and teams may earn an additional 1 point per day if all of their posts alternate (meaning member A posts first and third for his team that day, and member B posts second and fourth. Where those posts are in relation to their competition does not matter.) Teams may not post off of themselves a second time unless they wait two hours first (means that member A posts, then member B posts....and then they have to wait two hours before posting again.)

Scenario(s): The Legacy Invitational is designed to illustrate cohesion and skill of great tag teams, and as such will focus strongly on wrestling matches that provide opportunities to demonstrate those skills. The scenarios of this competition will be wrestling based, and like the King of The Cage will not involve extensive story telling of non-wrestling nature.

Participants: A minimum of 8 top tag teams are invited to compete in the tournament each year by the selection committee, and there are no restriction regarding the gaming site they play on with regards to these invitations. Of the minimum 8 slots in the event, 2 are initially reserved annually for invitations to be extended to 'legends' of the game, while the top 2 are expected to be given to tag team champions. Any unaccepted invitations will then be filled by selected performers from the host federation. The event can expand beyond 8 teams in the event that there is significant interest in competing that year.

Seeding: Of the participating teams, the 2 champions and the 2 'legends' will be invited into the event in a specified seeding. As the top 4 seeds they will be given the opportunity to draft their first round opponents. Depending on the size of the event, this might extend to lower seeds as well (5th, 6th and even 7th.)

Judging: A panel of judges will be put together prior to each event, and will post their judging criteria on the site for players to review. This panel will be comprised of experienced commissioners and former commissioners, as well as qualified past finalists from The Legacy Invitational. Every effort will be made to provide judges from multiple gaming sites in the event that participants from multiple sites are involved.

Prizes: A winners takes all prize will be announced prior to each tournament.
